The Notification also mentioned that in the case of Dima Hasao, all the examinations scheduled to be held between May 18 and June 1, have been suspended until further orders "due to disruption of surface communication."

It is pertinent to mention that the All Assam Higher Secondary Teachers and Employees Association had earlier appealed to the secretary of AHSEC to postpone the remaining Higher Secondary 1st year examinations in view of the worsening flood situation in both the Brahmaputra and Barak valleys, including the Dima Hasao district.
