GUWAHATI: A Meeting of the Empowered Committee, TET was organized at the Elementary and Secondary Education Department office in Janata Bhawan on June 4. The meeting which was held at the chamber of the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam discussed various matters to conduct the TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) for Higher Secondary level. During the meeting, it was decided that the TET exams for the aforementioned level will be conducted on October 11.
According to reports, there will be a common question paper and a specialized paper for the candidates. Only the Post Graduate candidates will be eligible to appear in the exams. It is to be mentioned that the exams for the Higher Secondary level will be held after 9 years and there are around 1,800 vacant posts to be filled.
