Hojai Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha President suspended

GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha, Hojai president Kamrul Haque Choudhury was suspended from the party on Friday. The move comes after Choudhury was arrested for allegedly attempting to rape a woman. The case was lodged by the woman at the Lanka Police Station following which he was arrested. In this regard, BJP Assam Pradesh president Ranjeet Kumar Dass informed that Choudhury will remain suspended until the allegations are dismissed. He has been suspended from the party and its primary membership with immediate effect, said Dass.
