HS first-year students can now change stream, subject

GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has given Higher Secondary (HS) first-year students a one-time opportunity to change their institution, stream and subjects.

A sizeable number of students, who have already taken admission in HS first year, have approached the council for change of institution, change of subject(s) and change of stream. Besides, similar requests have also been received from some guardians and institutions.

A notification issued by the AHSEC stated that in the greater interest of the students, guardians and institutions, the Darpan admission portal will be kept open from November 1 to November 15, 2021, to facilitate such requests of students, guardians and institutions, subject to due consent of both the institutions, that is, the parent institution in which the student has already got admission and the institution where the student opted for admission from the parent institution.

Students can visit the portal @ www.darpan.ahseconline.in to make the aforementioned changes.
