Huge quantity of Phensedyl seized near Khetri, Two Arrested

GUWAHATI, July 23: Following a tip off, the Khetri police arrested two individuals who were later identified as Syed Bahrul Alam and Md Bahirul Islam allegedly for transporting illegal phensedyl on Monday from 22th Mile under Khetri police station.

According to police source, the TATA Sumo Victa bearing registration no AS 01L-0486 along with 2020 bottles of illegal phensedyl which were contained in 18 cartons were seized on the spot. Both the offenders hail from Madhupur area under Nogaon district. Meanwhile, a case (Khetri ps case no 157/18 u/s 21 NDPS Act) has been registered and all formalities will be done accordingly, the source added.
