ICC-Exim Summit in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Sept 20: The Indian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with ECGC, HDFC Bank Ltd & Indian Oil Corporation Ltd on Thursday organised a discussion under the name and style of ICC-Exim Summit at NEDFi in Guwahati under the theme of ‘Energizing Entrepreneurs for International Trade’.

Regional Director-Northeast, from Indian Chamber of Commerce, Ishantor Sobhapandit, Ramreisem R Shimray, Branch Manager from ECGC Ltd, Vishal Bharti, Manager, Foreign Exchange Department, Reserve Bank of India from Mumbai central office, Alok Bora, Manager from Export-Import Bank of India, Guwahati Regional Office, Sanjeet Kumar, Assistant Commissioner along with Moni Sarania, Superintendent from Guwahati Customs Division, Guwahati, Assam, officials from DGFT and various banks attended the event as presidium members. Speaking at the event, Ishantor Sobhapandit said that the main objective of the summit was to spread awareness about the scope and potential of International trade industry as well as to discuss about export potential various custom policies.

Finance is very important if an entrepreneur wishes to set up his or her own industry and the event has been organised so that HDFC Bank, EXIM Bank, ECGC & other financial institutions can interact and procure necessary feedback from the young business people and entrepreneurs, Ishantor said.
