Indian Meteorological Department predicts rain in second half of the week

GUWAHATI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in the second half of the week in different parts of Northeast India. Tura in Meghalaya is expected to get 4 cm, Bafada in Tripura and Dhubri in Assam is predicted to have 2 cm while Mathanguri and Barpeta in Assam and Ranganadi in Arunachal Pradesh is expected to have 1 cm of rainfall in the coming days.

The temperature is expected to get back to the normal range towards the weekend. Thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with gusty wind with wind speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph is predicted to occur at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Mizoram. Also, thunderstorms and lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura.
