GUWAHATI: The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), AOO State Office observed vigilance awareness week in a bid to reach out students and motivate them to collectively participate in the fight against corruption and also raising public awareness regarding the detrimental consequences of corruption.
The beginning of the outreach programme was marked by essay writing and elocution contests in two schools and three colleges in Guwahati. Essay writing contest on the theme, 'Eradicate Corruption - Build a New India' was held among the students of Janata Hindi Vidyalaya and Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya in Noonrnati while elocution contests were organized in Paschim Guwahati Mahavidyalaya, Handique Girls College, and Guwahati College.
The concluding programme will be held on November 5 at IOCL Bhavan, Sector-III, Noonmati, a communiqué said.
