Indian Rheumatology Association(IRACON) 2018 to be held in Guwahati from December 6 to 9

GUWAHATI: Association, IRACON (Indian Rheumatology Association) 2018 is going to be held in Assam from 6th to 9th December, at Guwahati. This will be the 34th annual national conference of IRACON. Rheumatology deals specially with the immunomodulatory diseases of connective tissue, musculoskeletal system, soft tissue, vascular system etc like Rheumatoid Arthritis, SLE, Sarcoidosis, Vacuities etc. Around 20% of the total population suffers from some kind of Rheumatologic disorders. If not diagnosed or treated properly in the early stages, these diseases can be life threatening or can lead to a crippled life.

Central Health and Family Welfare Minister, Chief Minister of Assam and Health and Family Welfare Minister of Assam will grace the inaugural function on Dec 7.Various faculties from India and outside India will deliberate lectures on different subjects. Speakers from India, United States, Europe, different parts of Asia, who are leading researchers in the field of Rheumatology, have been invited to speak on their field of expertise. More than 350 scientific papers will be presented by researchers. More than 1000 delegates from India, Nepal, and Srilanka, Bangladesh will take part in the conference. A doctor patient meeting is also organized on Dec 6, where patients will directly interact with renowned specialists of this field from India and foreign countries as well.
