GUWAHATI: Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha, Assam (ITSSA) in a letter to the state Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma extended their congratulations on assuming the charge of the Chief Minister of Assam and also the new Cabinet of Assam Ministry.

The letter from the Sabha's sectary general, Kamal Kanta Musahari stated, "We hope that under the active and dynamic leadership of your honour, the state of Assam will be able to attain all-round development with the guiding spirit of the Mantra "Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas aur Sab Ka Viswas" which the ITSSA is eagerly looking forward. We, pray almighty to shower blessings upon your honour to retain good health and spirit so as to enable to serve the people of Assam."

Notably, Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha, Assam (ITSSA) a complementation of eight Sahitya Sabha viz. Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Deuri Sahitya Sabha, Dimasa Sahitya Sabha, Garo Sahitya Sabha, Karbi Sahitya Sabha, Mising Sahitya Sabha, Rabha Sahitya Sabha and Tiwa Sahitya Sabha.

Meanwhile, the Sabha also offered their condolences to the former Goalpara District Bodo Sahitya Sabha president Deben Kochari who passed away due to COVID-19.

On the other hand, the Sabha also paid their last tribute to prominent Rabha literature, Lakhmikanta Sanon who passed away recently. It is to be mentioned here that Lakhmikanta Fanon also translated Lakshminath Bezbaroa's most popular soft story book Burhi Aair Sadhu in Rabha language.
