GUWAHATI: A two-member high-level committee formed by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and the Banabal force has been scrutinizing the alleged irregularities and financial mismanagement prevalent at the Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden. A source of the State zoo informed The Sentinel that the committee has been directed to submit inclusive reports on the allegation. The source further said that the committee has already completed an investigation on the alleged glitch of infrastructure at State zoo. Moreover, matters related to financial appropriation is also under scanner. “Departmental action will be taken based on the report submitted by the Committee,” it added.
