GUWAHATI: The State government has allowed the inter-district movement for July 30 and 31. The Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) has arranged bus services for the inter-district passengers.

While ASTC buses to upper Assam are to leave from the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) in Guwahati, buses to lower Assam are available at Adabari bus stop in the city.

The State government has issued some rules and regulations for the inter-district movement of citizens for two days on July 30-31. A bus can carry only 50 per cent passengers and the travellers have been asked to maintain COVID-19 protocols during the journey. People should wear a mask while travelling and should also maintain social distancing.

The journey will be started only after the screening of the passengers.

According to most of the bus conductors and drivers, the number of passengers travelling from Guwahati is very less.
