'International Civil Aviation Day' observed in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Commemorating the International Civil Aviation Day, Guwahati International Airport Limited, the airport operator of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, celebrated the day exchanging knowledge-sharing session within the organization and spreading awareness of aviation with a group of children at Shyambhumi High School, a Government High School located near the airport.

In the knowledge-sharing session, navigation experts Sanjay Saha, Biplab Mallik and Pratap Singh explained several airport functions and process automation, deployed in air navigation and airport management. Chief Airport Officer Utpal Baruah addressed the school children with his lucid words and explained the evolution and prospect of aviation industry in the future. He explained to the students how an airport can be an economic driver to a region, stated a press release.
