ITBP Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Sisters of Seemant Chetna Manch Purvotar

GUWAHATI, Aug 26: Sisters of Seemant Chetna Manch Purvotar tied rakhi on the wrists of troops of 33rd Bn ITBP, Guwahati on Sunday. RS Chandel, Commandant, 33rd Bn ITBP, officers and jawans along with B Bhagwati, secretary and 5 sisters of Seemant Chetna Manch Purvotar were present in today’s programme. This has been stated in a press release.

Commandant Chandel, in his introductory speech, expressed his gratitude towards Seemant Chetna Manch Purvotar for celebrating Rakhi with the troops. Sh Fayaz Khan, Deputy Commandant in his speech said that jawans always have the feelings of patriotism but common men always have sensitivity towards the jawans. They always motivate the jawans in carrying away their duty towards the nation. ‘Sarhad ko pranaam’ song was sung by the sisters of Seemant Chetna Manch Purvotar and rakhis were tied on the wrists of the troops. Sisters took promise from the jawans to protect them. B Bhagwati, secretary, Seemant Chetna Manch Purvotar intimated that their members organise programmes like this in the border areas also, the press release added.
