Journalists celebrate International Women’s Day at an old-age home in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Young Journalists’ Forum, Guwahati celebrated the occasion and its 5th Foundation Day among the aged ladies of Mother Old Age Home.

The forum started the celebrations with a cake cutting ceremony.

105-year-old lady Subhadra Devi, a resident of Mother Old Age Home said, “A woman or a man alone can’t run the society. Equal contribution of both man and woman is necessary for the formation of a sound society.” Besides the journalists’ forum, Mosfica Womens Welfare Society too celebrated the occasion and distributed clothes to the residents of the old age home.
