The Indian Government is taking every possible step to evacuate stranded Indian nationals in Ukraine and have launched operation Ganga.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, the Kamrup District admin apprised the same and tweeted, '' Parents of more than 10 students of Kamrup District stranded in #Ukraine were reached out today by the Senior Functionaries of Kamrup District Administration''.

In a bid to escalate evacuation, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for Indian Air Force (IAF).

The IAF is likely to deploy several C-17 aircraft as part of Operation Ganga from Tuesday as it will also help deliver humanitarian aid to war-hit Ukraine more efficiently.
