Kamrup (M) District Administration appointed officials for smooth conduct of Durga Puja

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration on Monday appointed several officials to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of the Durga Puja celebrations from October 23 to 26.

The officers will supervise and monitor the conduct of the festival and immersion ceremony along with the concerned officials and representative from other departments such as police, GMC, Fire and Emergency Services etc.

The district administration has also requested the officers to coordinate with the Monitoring Team of Pollution Control Board (PCB) to check and ensure strict compliance of the guidelines issued by the PCB.
