Later, the DC office extended financial assistance to the helpless people. Officials from the DC office informed they distributed cash among those third gender people who do not have bank accounts. On the other hand, Justice Bidhan Baruah, who is the first third gender Judge in Assam, said that according to the 2011 population census, the number of third gender people in Assam was 11,374.
