Kamrup (M) DTO Seized 32 Overloaded Trucks in Assam

GUWAHATI: The allegations of trucks loaded beyond the tensile strength of roads in Assam have been proved yet again when a team of the Kamrup (M) DTO seized 32 overloaded trucks, including eight coal-laden ones. According to a special source in the State Transport Department, anomalies in documents of some of the trucks also came to light. Now fines will be slapped on the truckers based of the degree of their respective overload. This will be ascertained by offloading the trucks.
