Lakhtokia Merchants’ Association Celebrating 22nd Friends’ Day At Ahmed Complex

GUWAHATI: The Lakhtokia Merchants’ Association held their 22nd friends’ day at Ahmed Complex, Lakhtokia in Guwahati on Saturday. The association first started this celebration on January 1, 1993 with the aim of friendship, love, unity and services among the people of the society. Association GS Nurul Iman Saikia said, “Even though we work for our business communities, we will continue celebrating Friends’ Day.” The chief guest of at the celebration was noted social worker Dwijen Bhattacharjjya and was chaired by Association president Hans Raj Arya. The All Guwahati Traders’ Association, Association of Electrical and Electronics, and many other organizations participated in the celebrations. Three awards — Bandhushree, Shree Bandhu and Karmashree – were conferred on the elderly of the society.
