Raids conducted in houses of official's four close associates

GUWAHATI: Personnel of the CM's Special Vigilance Cell, on Saturday, seized various land documents of ACS officer Saibar Rahman.
The vigilance officials also carried out raids in the houses of four close associates of Rahman at various locations in Hatigaon. The raids were undertaken in the houses of Akash Ali, Ainol Hoque, Ajmal Ali, and Safikul Islam.
According to Police sources, transaction details of 42 bank accounts belonging to Saibar Rahman and his two wives are being scrutinised. Probes are also underway into the various dealings of the ACS officer in his places of postings.
