GUWAHATI: Continuing its contribution towards making Guwahati city green, the Lions Club of Gauhati Greater planted seedlings on the campus of Royal Global University on Tuesday. It may be mentioned that before this, on July 4, the members of the club planted seedlings on the campus of Nezone factory, Boragaon. The plantation drive was conducted under the leadership of its president Rupa Gaggar.

The role of programme chairman was played by its member Darash Mathur, who is a retired Forest Officer. Before the plantation drive, he shared valuable knowledge on the maintenance of plants with members. He also thanked Royal Global University Chairman Ashok Pansari and Vice-Chairman Anil Modi for permitting to plant trees on the campus of the university, stated a release.
