Lost Child Rescued From Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: A child rescue drive was conducted by ASI P Goswami along with SI M Ekka, ASI AK Nath, and Railway Child Line Guwahati on Tuesday. During the course of the drive, they noticed a minor girl making her way to the ladies waiting room at Guwahati Railway Station in a distressed condition.

On spot interrogation, she disclosed that she was from Dhubri and came to the city with her uncle for sight-seeing. As they were returning, she got down from the bus to use the restroom alone, as her uncle was asleep. When she got back, she realized that the bus had left without her at Boko. After the unfortunate incident, the minor came to Guwahati by another bus. She was rescued and necessary arrangements are being made to send her home.
