Major Bus Accident injures at least 8 passengers in Rangia, Driver Escaped !

Rangia: In a major road accident, a speeding bus lost its control and hit a culvert injuring at least 8 passengers on the spot on Friday evening.

The bus bearing registration number AS 01HC 1458 heading from Rangia to Guwahati met with the accident at National Highway 31 near Moranjona area. The bus later fell into a drain.

As per eyewitnesses, the bus met with an accident after the driver tried to overtake the tractor-trailer and thereby losing its control over the vehicle.

It may be mentioned that there were no death reports have come out during the incident.

The eight seriously injured passengers were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital in Kamalpur.

The bus driver later fled from the spot.
