Man Arrested For Rape Attempt At Lalmati

GUWAHATI: The police arrested one Anowar Hussain (21) on the charge of making an attempt to rape a 13-year-old girl at Lalmati under Basistha police station in Guwahati. Anowar Hussain, hailing from Barpeta, was staying with his uncle in a rented house. The made the attempt when all other members of the girl’s family were away.

A case (84/19) has been registered at Basistha police station in this connection.
