Man Beaten Up By Couple at Chandan Nagar, Dies

GUWAHATI: Hatigaon Police arrested a couple – Parag Boro and Sunny Boro – on Monday for badly beating up one Ronnie Roy who succumbed to his injuries in the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday.

According to the police, Ronnie Roy, hailing from Kokrajhar and staying in a rented house at Chandan Nagar in the Basistha area in Guwahati, went to Parag Boro’s Kerakuhci house in the Hatigaon area on Monday evening and entered one of the bedrooms.

He created an unpleasant situation in the house that led Parag Boro and his wife Sunny Boro to beat him up thoroughly. He was sent to the GMCH by the police. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

Hatigaon police registered a case (345/19 u/s 302/143 IPC) in that regard. The police arrested couple and produced them before the court on Tuesday. The court sent them to judicial custody.
