Man loses Rs 2.7 lakh to online fraudsters in Guwahati, FIR lodged
A 56-year-old man from Guwahati has lost Rs 2.7 lakh to online fraudsters, according to an FIR (492/2021) registered with the Chandmari police.

GUWAHATI: A 56-year-old man from Guwahati has lost Rs 2.7 lakh to online fraudsters, according to an FIR (492/2021) registered with the Chandmari police.
The perpetrators had remotely accessed the victim, Dilip Kr Gogoi's smartphone to forward all Bank OTPs via an app, and transferred the amount by hacking into his SBI Net Banking on July 24. In this regard, the victim's daughter Jupitara Gogoi has written a letter to the Chief Minister requesting for prompt investigation on the incident.
