Man Strangles Wife To Death At Duwat Bazar

GUWAHATI: One Md Hafijur Rahman, 30, surrendered at Chhaygaon police station at 10.30 am, confessing that he strangled his wife to death. The wife Joynab Begum, 26, was reportedly murdered at night on Thursday. The family of three was residing at Duwat Bazar, police station Hatigaon. An inquest was held over the dead body and sent for post-mortem. The SI Pawan Kalita is deputed to bring the accused from Chhaygaon with a case No 66/19 U/S 302 IPC for taking legal action.
