Man trampled to death by wild elephant near Chandrapur

GUWAHATI: In a tragic incident, an advocate was trampled to death by a wild elephant on Saturday night at Hajongbori near Chandrapur.

According to sources, Dilip Nath, a public prosecutor and owner of a resort at Thakurkuchi near Khamranga Beel, celebrated his son's birthday on Saturday. At night, he was on his way from Birkuchi to his resort to drop off three of his employees after the birthday party. Suddenly, they encountered a wild elephant at Hajongbori. Nath and the three employees got down from the car and fled. While the three employees managed to escape unhurt, Nath was trampled to death by the wild elephant.
