Massive Fire at a business establishment in Gokul Villa Apartment, Pandu

The fire broke up in a stack of cartons which were kept at the business establishment named Grocer. Two fire tenders brought the fire under control

Guwahati: A massive fire broke out at a business establishment named Grocer located in the ground floor of Gokul Villa Apartment in Pandu, Guwahati on Saturday evening. According to eye-witness account, Grocer had stacked up a lot of cartons and the fire started from this stack.

Two fire tenders rushed to the spot the brought the fire under control. No injuries or casualties have been reported yet. The fire created panic in the area. High flame and dark smoke were visible from a distance.

Residents of the Apartment accused the owners of Grocer of gross negligence and said that they have been storing a large number of cartons. The residents held the owner of Grocer responsible for the massive fire.

The real cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The residents of the Apartment have sought a proper enquiry into the fire incident and demanded action against the person responsible for it.
