Massive Fire Erupts At Geetanagar in Guwahati

Guwahati: A massive fire has erupted in the Geetanagar area of Guwahati during the evening hours of 7 January.

The fire reportedly broke out at a furniture shop going by the name of 'Woodbox' and it is located just opposite the playground in Geetanagar.

Fire tenders have been rushed to the site of the blaze and attempts to extinguish the unprecedented fire are underway.

It is believed that the fire was caused by a short circuit and it has been suspected that property worth lakhs has been reduced to ashes as a result.
