Medical welfare scheme for scribes
The State government has allocated one-time assistance of Rs 10,50,000 to 29 scribes under the Journalists’ Medical Welfare Scheme.

GUWAHATI: The State government has allocated one-time assistance of Rs 10,50,000 to 29 scribes under the Journalists' Medical Welfare Scheme. In this regard, a meeting was held at JMWS Committee chairman and Information and Public Relations Department commissioner secretary Pritam Saikia's office. With approval from other members and after observation and recommendation of senior doctors, the amount was allocated to the journalists. During the meeting, Committee's member secretary and Director of Information and Public Relations Anupam Choudhury deliberated on the scheme.
