A meeting on development of Guwahati was held at the GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) conference hall on Friday.

GUWAHATI: A meeting on development of Guwahati was held at the GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) conference hall on Friday.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of GMC Chief Engineer Debajit Das with Save Guwahati Build Guwahati general secretary.
The meeting was also attended by general secretary of Guwahati Yuba NagarikSamity Rajesh Sarma, and president and general secretary of Amiya Nagar UnnayanSamityGirishKalita and MantuDevSarma respectively along with executive engineers of the GMC.
During the discussion, KailashSarma appreciated the ongoing developmental activities undertaken by the GMC for development of roads and street lights taken in some areas of the city.
KailashSarma suggested the officials and the people present in the meeting to take appropriate measures for all type of proposed developmental works for the premier city.
Further, Debajit Das elaborately explained the various steps that have been taken by the GMC since he joined as a chief engineer with the support from the entire officials of his office.
During interaction, the CE assured to solve the problems of Amiya Nagar and Ambikagiri Nagar area i.e. roads, street lights, potable water etc. He instructed the concerned divisional engineers to visit and prepare necessary reports for respective localities as early as possible.
