Memorandum Presented to Honour State Martyrs in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A delegate of All Assam Martyrs-Victims’ Family council met the Chief Secretary of Assam, Alok Kumar and presented a memorandum which includes certain demands on Friday.

The demands includes that the state martyrs should be given the honour that is received by national martyrs by the Central and State Governments, employment should be handed out to the families of the martyrs and victims, etc.

BJP led state government in a 100 day program assured that 315 family members of the victims and martyred will receive employment. The All Assam Martyrs-Victims’ Family council has expressed in the memorandum that the government should hold strong on their promise and deliver before January 26.

Chief Secretary of All Assam Martyrs-Victims’ Family council, Manik Chandra Debnath informed that in memory of the martyrs, Rs 50 lakh is proposed to the government to build a guest-house.
