Minor Boy Drown in Bahini River on Friday

GUWAHATI: A minor boy, identified as Nur Islam (13), was drowned at the overflowing Bahini River near Rukminigaon on Friday evening. According to State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Nur, son of a ragpicker was picking up some used plastics bottles along the Bahini River and eventually slipped off. Till the compilation of this report, the body was yet o be recovered. However, SDRF and other local residents from the area are still trying to search for the missing boy.
