GUWAHATI: Noonmati Police has registered a rape case against sexagenarian, Suren Barman – a resident of Sankar Nagar in Noonmati, on August 11.
According to the FIR (First Information Report) filed by the members of the Sankar Nagar Mahila Samity, a 13-year-old minor girl was raped and her fetus was "murdered" by administering some medicine to the pregnant girl.
The accused, Suren Barman is the secretary of the VDP (Village Defence Party).
A case (513/21 u/s 376/313 r/w 4 of POCSO Act.
