Misinformation being spread regarding Clause VI report: Bharatiya Janata Party

GUWAHATI: State BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) on Friday stated that a lot of misinformation is being spread among the people regarding the report of the Clause VI high-level committee. Party spokesperson Rupam Goswami said that the report of the committee is classified and nobody knows what the committee has suggested. Speaking further he said that committee chairman Biplab Sarma’s visit to Delhi was on personal reasons and his discussion with the home ministry was unofficial. “BJP government is very serious about the issue of Clause VI and it will implement it. No other government was serious about the implementation of Clause VI. Only Sarbananda Sonowal led government has paid interest in forming a committee for the implementation of Clause VI of Assam Accord”, Goswami added.
