Mobile Snatcher Arrested by GRP at Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI, Sept 3: The Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended red handed a mobile phone snatcher identified as Abbas Ahmed (20) of kakojan under Teok police station from platform no 7 of Guwahati Railway Station on Monday and recovered one Oppo mobile phone from his possession. Meanwhile a case (No 237/18 u/s 379 IPC) has been registered. On the other hand, in a similar incident, the GRP has apprehended another mobile phone snatcher identified as Ubaraj Thappa (22) of Golia under Biswanath Chariali police station red handed from the North East Express on Monday. The GRP has recovered a Vivo mobile phone from his possession and a case (No 238/18 u/s 380 OPC) has been registered.
