GUWAHATI: The Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam, was able to complete 8,03,239 houses in the last 25 months under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, stated on Saturday that to fulfil the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ‘Housing for All’, the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam, has been working relentlessly.

It is also to be mentioned that a total of 12,07,547 PMAYG houses have been completed since 2016, out of which 8,03,239 houses were completed in the last 25 months. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for their guidance and strong leadership in this path-breaking success in rural housing in Assam. He also took the opportunity to congratulate the beneficiaries and thank the department officials and employees involved in implementing the scheme.
