Morphine seized

GUWAHATI, June 11: The Government Railway Police (GRP) while carrying out its routine checking on the down Rajdhani Express at Guwahati railway station this morning seized suspected morphine weighing approximately 900grams from the possession of one identified as Saulat Rasool (39). According to GRP source, the offender brought the illicit substance from Dimapur and was supposed to deliver it to some individual (s) somewhere at Kanpur. The offender hails from Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. Further investigation is on.
