MS Manivannan took charge as new Home & Political Commissioner
Following a bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday, MS Manivannan took the charge as the Commissioner and Secretary of Home and Political department on Wednesday in place of GD Thipathi.

GUWAHATI: Following a bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday, MS Manivannan took the charge as the Commissioner and Secretary of Home and Political department on Wednesday in place of GD Thipathi.
Apart from Home and Political, Manivannan will also look into Revenue and Disaster Management and GAD (General Administration Department).
Tripathi, on the other hand, will look after the Environment and Forest, Implementation of the Assam Accord, Border Protection and Development department, and the ASDMA (Assam State Disaster Management Authority) as its CEO (Chief Executive Officer).
