Muhurat of Assamese film Kasturi

GUWAHATI: The muhurat ceremony of "Kasturi", an Assamese feature film was held here on Thursday. The concept of the movie is on 'live-in relationship' and its repercussion.

Addressing the media here on Thursday, producer and director of the film Indrajit Kakati said that against the backdrop of the closure of four theatres of Assam – Apshara, Meghdoot, Urvashi and Vandana – due to cash crunch, he keeps his hopes alive that this film can make a turnaround in the moribund film industry in the State.

The film was produced and directed by Indrajit Kakati and starred by Suprabhat Gupt, Arundhati Sarma, Abhilekha Das and others. Shekhar and Sangita Kashyup lent their voice for the movie. The feature film is expected to be released in November next year.
