National Award to ASRLM  for Outstanding Performance

GUWAHATI, Sept 11: Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) conferred National Award to the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) for outstanding performance under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana (DAY-NRLM) in the category of Institutional and Capacity Building.

In a glittering award ceremony held on September 11 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, Union Minister for Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar, in the presence of Secretary Department of Rural Development Amarjeet Sinha and Joint Secretary (RL) & CEO DAY-NRLM Atal Dulloo presented the award to Nandita Hazarika, State Mission Director, ASRLM, Dr Rousy K Baruah, State Project Manager, ASRLM and Khagen Dutta, Project Manager, ASRLM. Notably, under ASRLM more than 2 Lakh Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed and consequently their higher level federations like Village Organizations (VOs) and Cluster Level federations (CLFs) have also been formed till date.
