National Deworming Day: Deworming Drive Begins in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Sept 10: Commemorating the National Deworming Day, along with rest of the districts, the Kamrup metro district too has started giving deworming tablets on Monday to children from the age group of 1 to 19 to rid them of helminths parasites, such as roundworm, flukes and tapeworm. In a release, Kamrup metro district health services Joint Commissioner Dr Ganesh Saikia said that throughout the month of September, around 2 lakh children of the district have been distributed deworming tablets from the age group of one to 19 years in convergence with the Social Welfare Department and Education Department.
