National People's Party condoles death of Syeda Anwara Taimur

GUWAHATI: The National People's Party, Assam State Unit has deeply mourned the passing away of former Chief Minister of Assam Syeda Anwara Taimur and extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. The first woman to become the Chief Minister of Assam, Taimur was a towering political leader and a true symbol of women empowerment, said NPP in a release. We join in prayer to the almighty for the blissful and eternal repose of her dear departed soul, the release added.
