NDRF, Guwahati distributes food items to needy people in view of lockdown

GUWAHATI: Rescuers of 1st Battalion NDRF Guwahati under the supervision of Randhir Singh Gill, Commandant distributed food among more than 2,500 needy people at various Matiyapra, Jahajghat, Uzanbazar, Guwahati, District-Kamrup Metro and Katamura, Sibharal, Bargaon, Master India Brewing Company at Changsari, Bazarapara, Palasbari, and Sarpara, Mirza in Kamrup district.

NDRF rescuers distributed food to these people in collaboration of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Amrit Bhog Bhandara Guwahati.

NDRF carried out sanitization drive at Reserve Bank of India Guwahati & in Gauhati University. The teams sprayed out disinfectant consisting of Sodium Hypochlorite. During the programme NDRF rescuers laid emphasis on social distancing, hand washing, use of sanitizer and lockdown rules, a press release said.
