A week-long free MRI testing programme for BPL card holders is being conducted by the Nemcare Hospital as a part of its foundation day celebrations.

GUWAHATI: A week-long free MRI testing programme for BPL card holders is being conducted by the Nemcare Hospital as a part of its foundation day celebrations.
The testing programme also offers 15 per cent discount for the general public. The registration process for the programme started from February 15.
Addressing a press meet here on Monday, Nemcare Hospital Managing Director Dr. Hitesh Baruah said, "People have to wait for one to three months for an MRI test at the GMCH (Gauhati Medical College and Hospital). Thus, to help the people especially the BPL patients we have organized free MRI tests and are also giving discounts to the general public. We will serve three BPL patients every day for the test during the week-long programme."
