New Assam Pradesh Shivsena committee formed at district level

GUWAHATI: With their demand on various issues including NRC, employment of Assamese people and to ban Paanmasala and gootkha, the newly formed Assam Pradesh Shivsena addressed the first press meet after the formation of the organization.

The organization said that the earlier committees of Shivsena in Assam at district level will be closed and a whole new committee will be formed and the convener of Shivsena North East India Dinesh Giri has appointed Aswini Kumar Das as the convener for Assam Pradesh in order to strengthen the organizational aspect of Assam Pradesh.

Addressing media in a press meet held at Guwahati Press Club on Saturday, Convener of Shivsena Assam Pradesh Aswini Kumar Das said that Assam Pradesh Shivsena will focus on the development of Assam and requested everyone to come forward only for the sake of Assam and assamese people. Das said, “We have some demands that include the cut off year of NRC should be 1951, selling of Pan Masala and Gutka should be banned in Assam. We also demand for 80% employment of locals in all the private and business organization in Assam and there should be 60-70 % local appointment in the organizations under Assam government. We would also like to request the Assamese Indian Muslims to stop cow slaughter for the sake of not hurting the religious emotion of others.”
