The newly-elected AIUDF MLAs held their first meeting at Dispur on Wednesday where they elected Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Qasimi as the leader of the AIUDF Legislature Party.

GUWAHATI: The newly-elected AIUDF MLAs held their first meeting at Dispur on Wednesday where they elected Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Qasimi as the leader of the AIUDF Legislature Party.
During the meeting, Aminul Islam was elected as the deputy leader of the AIUDF Legislature Party. While Dr Hafeez Rakibul Islam was elected as the Chief Whip of the Legislature Party, Phanidhar Talukdar was elected as the secretary.
Welcoming the newly-elected MLAs, AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal urged them to raise the problems of the people inside the Assembly and play the role of an efficient Opposition.
