NFREU

STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI: The NF Railway Employees’ Union staged a protest demonstration at the NFR headquarters on Wednesday over the issues of generating panic amongst employees in the name of service review, as well as the national pension system. Submitting a memorandum to the Minister of Railway, the union stated that the reports from different sources on proposed pre-mature retirement of over 3.3 lakh railway employees have created mental agony and disappointment among railway employees across Indian Railways. The instructions vide DOP & T OM dated June 20, 2019 along with the Railway Board’s letter have caused great anxiety among the employees, who feel that their continuance in service, having put in 30 years service or age being 55 years has been put to threat despite their long dedicated service to the railway system.
